Hank Davison, frontman of The Hank Davison Band, was born on May 12, 1957 in Munich . He has been active as a musician since 1967. In 1972 he joined his first band Herz Ass. After this time he worked as a DJ, musician, actor, but also as a bricklayer's helper or as a waiter, bar waiter - whatever was happening right now. During this time he has already played hundreds of concerts with his band and as a solo artist. In 1987 he founded The Hank Davison Band for the motorcyclist/biker scene. The bikers liked the earthy, hard style of the band and so The Hank Davison Band became extremely successful with the "rockers". In the years 1992 - 2009 The Hank Davison Band was the hip live act at biker meetings, they shared the stage with musicians such as ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd, Meat Loaf, Jethro Tull, Molly Hatchet, Uriah Heep, Whitesnake, Steppenwolf or Mother's Finest . The large amount of live performances is compared to a small list of studio albums. In 2009, Hank broke up the band and has been unplugged as a solo musician ever since.

Campfires, motorcycles, a good shot of whiskey and lots of rock and roll - that's the world of Hank Davison. The charismatic singer with the impressive voice looks back on a long, fulfilling stage life. First appearances with guitar in 1967, first band in 1972 and first recordings in 1977. In the years that followed, Hank worked as a DJ, founded various bands, painted, wrote short stories and tried his hand at acting. Ultimately, music remains his preferred profession. In 1987 he founded The Hank Davison Band specifically for the motorcycle scene. The success is enormous. The biker band was to be seen at almost every major motorcycle meeting in the world for over twenty years. Tens of thousands of fans and bikers celebrate “their” band every weekend. Well-known musicians such as Dickie Peterson, Alvin Lee, Bobby Kimball, Glenn Hughes, Biff Byford and Fito De La Parra appear as guests in the Hank Davison tape on. Despite several lucrative offers from the record industry, a successful deal never materialized. The singer and bandleader is also rarely willing to give interviews in newspapers, magazines, radio/TV. Hank categorically rejects anything that could change his band in the slightest. After 22 years, Hank dissolves the band and turns more to the roots of American folk, blues and country music. He performs alone with just a guitar and sings along. His extraordinary, concise rock vocals and versatile, powerful guitar playing give his performances a particularly authentic flair. At Hank Davison & Friends, Hank is accompanied by Lewis “The Prince Of Bluesharp” Glover, a gifted bluesharper with whom Hank has been on stage since 1993. Hank Davison uses all styles - Blues, Rhythm and Blues, Folk, Jazz, Country, Rock 'N' Roll, Southern Rock... - the fact that it still seems homogeneous is mainly due to his very own interpretation of the pieces.
