LIVE AT THE ROSELAND BALLROOM, NYC is the first live album from Bachman & Turner. It was released on May 29, 2011 worldwide through Eagle Rock Entertainment, and was released as a two-disc set. This album contains mostly songs from Randy Bachman and Fred Turner's work in the band Bachman-Turner Overdrive. Paul Shaffer makes a guest appearance on the songs "Shakin' All Over", "Roll On Down The Highway" and "Takin' Care Of Business". In their work separately and together, vocalist/guitarist Randy Bachman and vocalist/bass guitarist C.F. Turner helped define the mainstream sound of late-'60s/early-'70s pop/rock and hard rock. Bachman led the Guess Who to huge success before splitting to ultimately form Bachman-Turner Overdrive with Turner. BTO's catchy, basic, arena-ready hard rock yielded record sales in the millions and helped pave the way for heavy metal's commercial popularity. After more than 20 years apart, the Canadians joined forces for a new album, 2010's Bachman & Turner, and then hit the road again, which is where their style of music lives and breathes. Bachman and Turner are backed by a sturdy band including guitarist Brent Howard Knudsen, guitarist Mick Dalla-Vee, and drummer Marc LaFrance. BTO tunes make up the majority of the set list on LIVE AT THE ROSELAND BALLROOM, NYC. Lesser hits and deep cuts from the albums Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Bachman-Turner Overdrive II, the number one Not Fragile, Four Wheel Drive, and Head On provide a clearer picture. Five tracks from Bachman & Turner are featured. The Guess Who's number one single "American Woman" gets aired out, as does "Shakin' All Over".

With classic rock stamped all over Bachman-Turner Overdrive's resume, Randy Bachman and C.F. Turner announced a reunion in late 2009. Touring under the name Bachman & Turner to avoid any legal hassles with former Overdrive members, the burly boys from hip-check territory issued their self-titled album in 2010, which picks up on the group's '70s blues rock stomp and truck stop boogie. During the tour in support of the turn-back-the-clock Bachman & Turner disc, the group's concert performance on November 16, 2010, at the legendary Roseland Ballroom in New York City, was recorded. Backed by drummer Marc LaFrance, and guitarists Brent Howard Knudsen and Mick Dalla-Vee, the tag team of Randy and C.F. roll along from the stage as if they were transported back to '74. "Let It Ride", chased by the Hollywood-bound "Rock Is My Life" and the dense "Not Fragile" open the gig, followed by the simple "Hey You" and "Hold Back The Water". Randy Bachman's effortless guitar playing has always intrigued me with his ability to branch out behind primal riff rock. A laid back version of "Lookin' Out For #1" showcases Bachman's deft six string work, which is chased by the hard edged "Stayed Awake All Night". The boys lock-in on "Four Wheel Drive", while going way back to the early days with "Blue Collar". The ball-bustin' ''Sledgehammer'' is pounded out with Bachman-Turner love song aggression. The tail end of the recording is packed out with the big hits from the BTO glory years, starting with the stuttering "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet", plus the gear-jammin' "Roll On Down The Highway", and the clock-punching closing action of "Takin' Care Of Business". LET IT ROLL!
