THE UNIVERSAL MASTERS COLLECTION Series.
Import only compilation, part of the The Universal Masters Collection, features fifteen digitally remastered tracks. It was released on 26th March 2001 by Universal Music. The songs were composed and performed by Bachman-Turner Overdrive. Universal International's fifteen Bachman-Turner Overdrive songs anchored by the classic FM radio hits "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet", "Roll On Down The Highway" and "Takin' Care Of Business". As far as "greatest-hits" compilations go, this one hits all of the right notes. Fans looking for a more comprehensive overview should pick up 1993's two-disc Anthology or Mercury's excellent 2005 Gold package. This release is an excellent single-disc collection of the songs which made Bachman-Turner Overdrive hard rock heroes in the mid 1970s. All of the big hits are present and accounted for, including Doobie Brothers-like "Let It Ride". Fun fact: Author Stephen King conceived of his pseudonym Richard Bachman while listening to these guys. This single disc takes care of business, workin' overtime to do it: 60 minutes of BTO's best!
