LIVE IN ANAHEIM is a double live album from Ian Gillan, recorded live at the House Of Blues, Anaheim, California on 14th September 2006 during The Gillan's Inn Tour and released on 25th February 2008 by Edel Entertainment GmbH. The accompanying DVD of the concert was released in July 2008. On 3rd April 2009 it was released as a CD/DVD release, in a standard jewel case. Only one CD was included, so three tracks were dropped for timing purposes. The DVD was still the full show. Although Ian Gillan will always be best known as the frontman of Deep Purple, he's been known to release solo discs and perform solo shows when the mood hits, as evidenced release LIVE IN ANAHEIM. Recorded on 14th September 2006 at the House Of Blues in Anaheim, the live album features a track listing that mixes in Deep Purple classics along with solo Gillan songs. Which is expected, as the album Gillan was touring in support of, Gillan's Inn, contained re-recordings of songs from throughout his career. And while Gillan's Inn was a "special guest fest", the singer had a set band of musicians for the supporting tour. As a result, you'll find strong renditions of Purple classics, as well as solo Gillan classics. All these years later, Gillan's voice remains mighty and strong, and is certainly capable of living up to the legend, as evidenced throughout LIVE IN ANAHEIM.
