Sunday April 5th, 1998 at Ronnie Scott's was a night to remember. For that evening the world-famous jazz club was taken over by a blues crowd. Gone was the cool reserve for which jazz buffs are renowned and, in its place, came blues fans all set for a raucous good time, and Green fans eager to see how their man was doing two years into his comeback. The recording includes sees blues originals rub shoulders with Fleetwood Mac classics; Peter Green's most famous compositions, such as "Albatross", "Black Magic Woman", "Rattlesnake Shake", "The Green Manalishi" and "The Supernatural", plus versions of "Travelling Riverside Blues" and "Steady Rollin' Man". The 2CD Recall compilation came as welcome news to the many fans who missed out first time around with the limited edition 20.000 numbered copies of the Soho Sessions package which sold out immediately on its first release. Now the double CD is released as a mid-price edition in a brilliant jewel case and complete with an 8-page booklet featuring extensive liner notes. SOHO Session is a live album by the British blues band the Peter Green Splinter Group, led by Peter Green. Released in 1999, this was their third album. Green was the founder of Fleetwood Mac and a member of that group from 1967–70, before a sporadic solo career during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Recorded on 5 April 1998 at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, the double album featured new versions of various songs from the group's previous albums, and also some of Green's Fleetwood Mac songs. On the same night, the group's previous drummer Cozy Powell was killed in a road accident. This was the group's last album to feature bass guitarist Neil Murray.
