Rudy Rotta, this Italian bluesman has played with B.B King, John Mayall, Brian Auger and many other sizes who would not waste their time with mediocrity and Rudy Rotta is far from mediocre! Composer, singer and musician, he offers us this double album compiling some titles of his career. Rather evolving in a rather soft blues-rock, he never gets lost in long guitar solos even though he is an excellent guitarist, Robben Ford has detected him well and sometimes plays with him. Among his friends, Peter Green is in good place, he plays "Black Magic Woman" with our artist, moreover, you will find other titles where the aforementioned musicians share the score with him. Admirer of the Beatles, he released a whole album of covers of this legendary group and we find two titles in this compilation. Well, not everything is excellent, like this distressingly null track "Look Out Your Window" but the whole holds up, even the songs in Italian go well. His music is the evidence that he is extraordinary talented. His artful style is a combination of blues basics combined with rocking and soulful funk. P.S. Rodolfo "Rudy" Rotta was born in Villadossola, Italy, in 1950, and grew up in Lucerne, Switzerland where his family emigrated. He started playing guitar and performing in Switzerland at the age of 14, but eventually returned to Verona, where he founded the Rudy's Blues Band. Over his career, he played with a number of well-known blues artists including Brian Auger, John Mayall, Robben Ford and Peter Green. Rotta died on 3 July 2017 in Verona after an illness.
