Joe Perry's departure from the ranks of Aerosmith in 1979 signalled a new era for the guitarist. Leaving his old bandmates behind with a half-dozen songs for Night In The Ruts, Joe Perry launched himself into a new decade with his own album Let The Music Do The Talking in 1980. Unlike Steven Tyler, Joe Perry showed no interest in the arena circuit and preferred a more authentic rock venue. My Father's Place in Roslyn, NY was the perfect venue for such a band. Echoes Production proudly presents a dynamic slice of American rock 'n' roll with the entire WLIR FM broadcast of The Joe Perry Project, live from My Father's Place, Roslyn NY on 29th March 1980.

The Joe Perry Project is a band launched by Joe Perry who left Aerosmith temporarily in July 1979. It was formed in November 1979 and announced debut live work MY FATHER'S PLACE in March 1980. This work is an FM sound source which contained early in the debut tour. In fact, the sound flowing out of this work is plenty of superior soundboard with a direct feeling like FM broadcasting. Joe’s guitar roars beyond and the live rock ‘n’ roll full of screaming “This is my music!” The heavy blues “Reefer Headed Woman” which superimposes phrases which passionate embellishment through the guitar is the best. We can not help but feel the difference in the case of Ralph Morman (who died in 2014) vocal at the Aerosmith number to be shown at key points and “Let The Music Do The Talking” which will be self-covered later , The debut MY FATHER'S PLACE showing nineteen out of nineteen songs is no complaint. In the first place, it is not possible to line up with the charisma front man who shines exceptionally in the history of all rocks, and Ralph enthusiastically and passionately sings. In Ralph “Joe Perry ‘s world” never break. As a matter of fact, Ralf has withdrawn from the tour for three months and the live performances by the same four people as the album are very precious. Joe Perry who left Aerosmith and faced his own lock and tried to prove it again. Although it is a band that tends to be overlooked, no, there is a passion for Joe who is burning so much.
