OUT OF PRINT: Future availability is unknown.
This 3CD set includes two discs featuring superb live radio broadcasts, recorded and transmitted in 1990 and 1991 respectively, plus a CD of band interviews and spoken word biography, all of which make for a fitting tribute to a group who, across more than 25 years, proved that in-yer-face rock music is alive and well and selling like it always has done in droves. The Black Crowes have sold over 30 million albums, and are listed at number 92 on VH1's 100 Greatest Artists Of Hard Rock. They were also labeled by Melody Maker magazine The Most Rock 'N' Roll Band in the World and the readers of Rolling Stone voted them Best New American Band in 1990. Their discography includes nine studio albums in all, four live albums and several charting singles. After a hiatus between 2002 and 2005, the band released Warpaint, which hit number five on the Billboard chart. After the release of a double album, the greatest hits-like and mostly acoustic Croweology in August 2010, the band started a 20th anniversary tour that was followed by an ongoing second hiatus. The band announced that they would return in early 2013 but that December they returned to hiatus status with no specific return date. They announced their break-up in early 2015. To be continued...

The Black Crowes entered the Trump Plaza Hotel in Atlantic City to be greeted by a crowd of hugely enthusiastic and inspired onlookers who wanted a taste of qualified southern, R&B, boogie rock and that is indeed what they got. This was recorded at the beginning of The Black Crowes career. This hot live set from The Black Crowes was recorded on 24th August 1990 when they were touring for their first album. In 1990, when journalists were lamenting the death of rock, as cheesy pop and hair metal dominated the charts, Atlanta’s Black Crowes gave the genre a swift and much needed kick in the ass with Shake Your Money Maker album. The band immediately took the rock world by storm. The Black Crowes were finding their feet on the road having benefitted from supporting roles with Aerosmith and ZZ Top which although ill-fated, had given the band some decent exposure and a decent footing in a live sense. Lessons had been learned and the band had strengthened considerably as a live act by the time of their appearance at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles on 15th June 1991. At a time when their debut album Shake Your Money Maker was still proving a formidable first album. The Crowes were going full throttle and in their sexy, rocking prime. In other words, they’ve done everything a legendary rock group should do. Spearheading their very own electric blues revival and gaining huge critical and commercial acclaim along the way, The Black Crowes have always been the model for southern american rock. This set featuring extensive interviews with the brothers Robinson, and with other members past and present, and an audio biography which looks at the Crowes' career from their humble beginnings to the megastardom. Finished off with rare photographs, booklets and poster, that is essential for all Black Crowes fans everywhere. So if you're a hardcore Crowes fan who wants every bootleg performance of their classic lineup out there , you will probably like this.
