THE BEST OF ZZ TOP (10 Legendary Texas Tales) is a greatest hits album by American rock band ZZ Top, released November 26, 1977. Spanning the years from 1971 to 1975, this compilation album does not contain any songs from Tejas, which was released the year before.

Not to be confused with the 1992 compilation GREATEST HITS, 1977's THE BEST OF ZZ TOP includes 10 of ZZ Top's best tracks from its first five records. As longtime ZZ Top fans know, the trio was at its bluesiest and most rocking during this period, and the tunes included here are what made it one of the '70s' most popular rock bands. Opening up with raunch rocker "Tush," the rest of the track list is as spicy as a good old Texas barbecue--"Waitin' for the Bus," "Francine," "La Grange," "Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers," and "Heard It on the X," to name but a few.
