This album is of course long overdue, and as always the choice of songs is a matter of taste. But what stands out are three things that make this album completely independent of the intention of setting a small monument to one of the most influential and successful bands ever. The selection of singers was incredibly well done. They can all sing, fit the Somgs like a glove and sing so clearly and understandably that you don't often find these days. Let the names melt on your tongue like a fine wine that sits so wonderfully on the palate that you don't feel like swallowing it. Not only is the joy of playing impressive, the compositional variations on the original are great. The band easily manages to remind you of the time when this type of rock 'n' roll was difficult to be fashionable. The guitar solos are often better done than in the original songs and the band's power goes off like crazy. They managed to do it here, to put the songs in a new light, even though the window is already so old. And what is even better is the freshness with which the songs come. Definitely for fans of this music If you love classic rock, you're in for a treat, even if you're not a fan of Nazareth.

ANOTHER HAIR OF THE DOG: A TRIBUTE TO NAZARETH opens with ''Piece Of My Heart'' with Glenn Hughes featuring on vocals. As across the release, the singers closely relates to the original but there is no escaping the distinct style of grooves and riffs or the great almost feral and again individual breath as a whole. As the songs entices and roars, surprises are few yet freshness is in full flow, that union a great sheen to the classic incitement. The following pair of ''Hair Of The Dog'' and ''Love Hurts'' sees Paul D'Ianno on vocals and in its successor by vocalist Doogie White. Both songs hit the spot, their respective sizzle and melancholic seduction easily feasted upon with the latter a rich captivation from guitar to vocal. Cleopatra Records firmly take their share of keen attention it is inescapable the quality of the original songwriting which will make these songs to anyone unfamiliar with Nazareth one fresh and potent proposal time and time again. Everyone involved brings a new take and fresh proposal to the songs to create one truly striking moment in the already compelling encounter.
