Creedence Clearwater Revival Were Pioneers In The Fusion Of Rock And Country And Were Roots Before Roots Took Hold As A Music Genre. Seven CD box set containing each of the hit albums from CCR housed in miniature LP sleeves plus a 116 page book featuring liner notes by world-class rock music journalists. Although they sounded like no other band, CCR redefined Rock 'N' Roll. They showed, in the most entertaining way possible, how the music could embrace elements of R&B and the Blues, Country, Folk, and Jazz, as well as a world of other musical forms.
CONTAINS The Expanded Editions Of The Albums: Creedence Clearwater Revival (1968), Bayou Country (1969), Green River (1969), Willy & The Poor Boys (1969), Cosmo's Factory (1970), Pendulum (1970) And Mardi Gras (1972).
All 7 Mini LP Card Repro Sleeves follow their US releases - 1 to 6 has blue Fantasy labels on each CD (with Full Radial Stereo wording) while 7 has the tan coloured Fantasy label. "Pendulum" is a gatefold as per the original issue - and each card repro also has an inner sleeve too. Unfortunately the inner merely pictures the album front, which is hardly imaginative and a bit disappointing. The book gathers up ALL SIX INLAYS of the 2008 remasters and runs them into one beautiful and chunky read. It's a genuine treat to look at (apart from the occasional typo error). But a lazy downer, however, is that there are no extra notes for the "Mardi Gras" addition.
