UNZIPPED: ACOUSTIC ADVENTURES Super Deluxe Edition includes previously unreleased studio and live recordings of acoustic tracks and ballads. It was released on 19th October 2018 by Rhino Entertainment. This album mixes rare and unreleased versions of songs like “Summer Rain” and “Forevermore” from the band’s studio albums – Good To Be Bad and Forevermore. Also included are songs like “Love Is Blind” from Coverdale’s solo album, Into The Light and a previously unreleased song, “All The Time In The World”. UNZIPPED: ACOUSTIC ADVENTURES Super Deluxe Edition has even more of unreleased, unplugged recordings, including more performances from Coverdale’s 1997 tour with Adrian Vandenberg, plus several later shows featuring David Coverdale and guitarist Doug Aldrich. Plus, more than two dozen of Coverdale’s unreleased, acoustic demos are also included in the collection. The concept is ''unplugged'' with songs having stripped back, acoustic-based arrangements, inspired by the 1997 Whitesnake album, Starkers In Tokyo, hence the UNZIPPED: ACOUSTIC ADVENTURES title and theme.

The first CD in the set is called UNZIPPED… IN THE STUDIO: THE LOVE SONGS and features six previously unreleased tracks. These songs are some of the most personal David have been involved with through my almost five decades as a professional musician, singer and composer…This is Coverdale at his most unguarded innocent writing, as he still do, for the fun the expression the poetry all love songs. While disc two, STARKERS IN TOKYO is a 1997 unplugged concert recorded in Tokyo. This has never been officially issued in the States and has been newly remixed for this set. In 1997, David Coverdale and guitarist Adrian Vandenberg played an unplugged concert in Tokyo that was recorded and initially released exclusively in Japan as Starkers In Tokyo. That recording has been remixedand was make its North American-debut on the second disc of UNZIPPED: ACOUSTIC ADVENTURES Super Deluxe Edition. The acoustic performance touches on the different stages of Coverdale’s career, from his time in Deep Purple, to his solo albums. Two further CDs, SNAKESKIN BOOTS: STARKERS IN EUROPE and MORE STARKERS... continue the theme, delivering 48 more audio tracks. The final audio disc is UP CLOSE & PERSONAL: PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED ACOUSTIC DEMO IDEAS which contains 25 of David Coverdale’s unreleased and acoustic demos. A DVD completes the six-disc Super Deluxe Edition with live, unplugged performances filmed around the world between 1997 and 2015, including a complete acoustic show recorded at the Cutting Room in New York in 2008.
