The album 'Hard Again' was the first, Muddy Waters after the collapse of Chess Records. For the label Blue Sky Records (Columbia Records) was added, the first, which was produced by Johnny Winter. A real comeback and a testament to Waters importance in blues. This and the next two albums were among the most commercially successful artist. During the recordings Winter and Waters were supported by an excellent band. Bob Margolin and Johnny Winter (guitar), Pinetop Perkins (piano) and James Cotton (harmonica). From his old comrades still Willie "Big Eyes" Smith (drums) was in the shots here. On bass Charles Calmese is heard, who played in the band of James Cotton. 1977 was awarded the album a Grammy in the category "Best Ethnic or Traditional Recording". The double CD holds a gig in 1977 at the ready, the album is at the center, and the three participating blues greats same on stage. For the FIRST TIME available on CD, mastered and supplemented with insightful liner notes and photos, a real highlight for Blues fans.
