English rock singer Paul Rodgers, born on 17th December 1949 in Middlesbrough. Best known for being a member of Free and Bad Company and his collaboration with Queen. Also had a brief collaboration with Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page, under The Firm guise. Rodgers was also a member of Desperado along side Alan Clark, he left the band sometime before 1979, and there are no known recordings of his time in the band. Paul Rodgers made triumphant comeback tours in 2011. Hitting UK venues in April 2011 Paul “The Voice” Rodgers has signed up Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott and his new band Down 'N' Outz as special guests on the tour. Following a five-year collboration with Queen, 2009 saw Paul Rodgers announce he was ending his role as the new Queen frontman and later revealed he would join the other surviving members of Bad Company for an eight-date UK tour in April 2010. Rodgers and Elliott was kick-off their UK jaunt on 15th April 2011 at Blackpool's Opera House. The tour then visited venues in Sheffield, Newcastle, Glasgow, Manchester, Nottingham, Bournemouth, Westcliff-on-Sea and London before closing with a show at Birmingham's NIA on 28th April 2011, featuring the best of Paul's live performances, including band and audience interaction, perfectly reflecting the passion and dedication exuded by Paul both on and off stage. Some UK concerts were recorded and the band made ''official bootlegs'' available for purchase after the shows. For the recording and distribution of the CDs, Paul Rodgers partnered with Concert Live (UK). Not to be confused with a "soundboard" recording, these recordings were fully mixed and mastered on the fly and fans were able to buy CDs from the concert within minutes after show. The CDs were also available by mail order. The mail order ones had set lists printed on the cover - the ones picked up after the show didn't. It's nice, let's say it's fantastic that several live Paul Rodgers shows were finally recorded for the public. Concert Live created an instant live recording of Paul Rodgers' Birmingham NIA concert on 28th April 2011 and made it available for purchase within minutes after the show finished. The 3CD set was also available by mail order from Concert Live. This CD is only available from Concert Live and features many of Paul's classic hits from Bad Company, Free, The Firm back catalogues and his Grammy nominated solo career. The live CD is strictly limited edition and features the full live show.
P.S. UK-based Concert Live was founded in 2005 by Adam Goodyer and James Perkins with a mission to give live music fans the opportunity to take home high quality recordings of concerts they’ve been to minutes after the gig has finished. The Concert Live recordings were presented in a cardboard digipak holding three CDs. CD sets picked up after the show had the main concert on two discs, plus a third blank disc that came with instructions of how to download and burn the missing encore tracks. CDs ordered by mailorder contained the full show on 3 discs.
