EXTENDED VERSIONS is a live compilation of Paul Rodgers. It was released in 2006. Compilation includes 10 of the 13 sogs in different order from album Live: The Loreley Tapes... An amazing CD from Paul Rodgers. Paul Rogers is so versatile in his vocals and songwriting, that his music never grows old, and keeps getting better. Paul Bernard Rodgers (born on 17th December 1949) is an English-Canadian singer, songwriter and musician. He was the lead vocalist of numerous rock bands, including Free, Bad Company, The Firm and The Law. He has also performed as a solo artist, and collaborated with the remaining active members of Queen under the moniker Queen + Paul Rodgers, from 2004 until both parties parted ways in 2009. A poll in Rolling Stone magazine ranked him number 55 on its list of the "100 Greatest Singers Of All Time". In 2011 Paul Rodgers received the British Academy's Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music. Paul Rodgers has been cited as a significant influence on various rock singers. In 1991, John Mellencamp called Paul Rodgers "the best rock singer ever". Freddie Mercury in particular liked Paul Rodgers and his aggressive style. His resume reads like a rock fan's wildest dream: frontman and main songwriter for Free founded with the late guitarist Paul Kossoff, Bad Company, The Firm, solo and Queen. Paul Rodgers has been electrifying audiences since he hit number one with his worldwide hit "All Right Now" co-written with Free. After six years with Free, Paul Rodgers formed Bad Company with Mott The Hoople guitarist Mick Ralphs. As the main songwriters they wrote all of the platinum records and number one hits. While moving forward as a solo artist he took a slight detour and formed The Firm with Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page. He then continued as a solo artist and received a Grammy Nomination for his Muddy Water Blues: A Tribute To Muddy Waters CD on which he wrote the title track. In 2005 he joined forces with Queen and toured worldwide at Queen + Paul Rodgers performing songs from both of their catalogues. In 2007, he was play ten exclusive US dates spring and one summer date in Holland. For a man who prefers to keep a low profile, his talent still shines brightly. He really knows how to keep the crowd alive. You'll amazed. We don't know where this was recorded but it may be at the Rockpalast Open Air Festival. But it is just a hunch. In any event, this is one fun CD. Paul Rodgers pipes are just as strong as when he was in Free and his band is in top form. CD opens with Bad Company songs. Mostly songs from Free, and it's just so that Paul Rodgers' best songs are from his Free days. Overall, really enjoyable CD and good complement for original Bad Company and Free albums. You'll be glad ya got it once you hear.
