PROBLEM CHILD was recorded live shortly after the release of their studio album Powerage featuring lead singer Bon Scott before his untimely death from over-consumption of alcohol in the following year. This riotous show captures AC/DC’s classic line-up at the peak of their live powers, and is presented here complete with background notes and images. So with a complete back catalouge of Bon Scott material to chose from its no wonder the set list is nothing less but amazing. The first cd release of this recording was released back in 1989 with the title, Against The Current, and that title is regarded by many AC/DC collectors to have been the first ever bootleg cd by the band. This Ohio 1978 show captures AC/DC’s classic line-up at the peak of their live powers and is presented here complete.

PROBLEM CHILD is capture the band full of raw energy and the band rockin' with Bon Scott playing to the crowd. It is a recording more suited the dedicated AC/DC fans out there. What you'll like is the inclusion of the intro and bits spoken by the DJ... it just gives it a more edge of completeness and captures the actual radio broadcast.
More care should have been taken with the sleeve notes... band photo features Mark Evans... when it was Cliff Williams on bass... still CD captures the classic line-up of Young, Young, Scott, Williams and Rudd doing what they did best and playing live. Essential listening, if your a die hard, an admitedly bootleg quality recording from american radio. Despite the sound quality here still managed to capture a band, in magnificent form,dispaying a feral,primal quality that the band lost once they hit the big time and shows got bigger and slicker. Listen to the gritty take of ''Bad Boy Boogie'' with Bon imploring the manic fans to take care that the orchestra pit doesnt collapse. Enjoy early live versionsof Powerage tracks such as ''Gone Shootin''', ''Sin City'' and ''Rock 'n' Roll Damnation'', while raising a smile at Bon's lecherous rendition of ''She's Got The Jack''.
