NO SECURITY is a live album by The Rolling Stones released by Virgin Records on 2nd November 1998. Recorded over the course of the band's 1997–1998 worldwide Bridges To Babylon Tour, it was the band's eighth official full-length live release. Not wishing to repeat songs from previous live albums Still Life, Flashpoint and Stripped, The Rolling Stones for the most part chose songs that had never been on a live release, including four from the band's most-recent studio album Bridges To Babylon. Taj Mahal and Dave Matthews appeared as special guests. The tracks were taken from live performances at the Amsterdam Arena; Capitol Theatre, Port Chester, New York for MTV's Live From The 10 Spot; TWA Dome, St. Louis; River Plate Stadium, Buenos Aires and Zeppelinfeld, Nuremberg. The album was released in November 1998, and the band thereafter embarked on another tour, the No Security Tour, crossing North America for 34 shows in hockey and basketball arenas. NO SECURITY failed to achieve US Gold record status, selling more than 300,000 copies. The album was not reissued by UMe when Universal reissued the 1971–2005 back catalog.

This is the seventh live Stones album and the second to appear in three years. Culled from the Bridges To Babylon Tour, NO SECURITY feels more like a tour memento than a stand-on-its-own recording. The 14 tracks are a mix of familiar chestnuts, welcome restorations, and tertiary Jagger-Richards tunes. Since The Stones are sharp businessmen, they have given all three of their '90s live albums a hook, an angle for journalists and fans alike - Flashpoint was their return to form, Stripped was culled from unplugged and club dates, and NO SECURITY contains 14 songs that have never before appeared on a live Stones album. Of course, several of these date from Voodoo Lounge and Bridges To Babylon (five, to be exact), but they also dig out such great songs as "Gimme Shelter," "Respectable," "Sister Morphine," and "Memory Motel," as well as reviving "The Last Time" and "Live With Me," which haven't been on a live record since Got Live If You Want It! and Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out!, respectively. Sure, The Stones are as accomplished as ever, the album is certainly enjoyable, but it just doesn't feel necessary. Which, again, doesn't make it any different than most Stones live records since Love You Live. A few recruits are along for the ride: Taj Mahal turns up on the breath catcher "Corinna," Dave Matthews shares vocals with Mick on "Memory Motel," and jazzman Joshua Redman solos on "Waiting On A Friend." They're all, no doubt, quite proud to have joined these legends on stage and CD. But when they want to hear live Stones, it's a good bet even they will reach for Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out before NO SECURITY.
