Fresh off his work with Blind Faith and Delaney & Bonnie, Clapton recorded his 1970 debut. Along with the unissued original mixes of his smash After Midnight plus Blues Power; Let It Rain; Bad Boy , and most of the rest of the LP, this CD adds unissued versions of Don't Know Why; Told You for the Last Time , and more! The previously unreleased original mix (mixed by Delaney Bramlett) and additional material. Tracks that were issued on the Deluxe Version ERIC CLAPTON of Clapton's first solo album. Yes the music is good/great, and if you already own the single disc version of that original album with good sound-then this would be a good purchase. If you don't own Clapton's first solo album in any form, pay the few extra bucks and purchase the Deluxe Version which contains all the tracks from the original release and this "new" release of RARITIES EDITION - and everything in great remastered sound. Plus, there's three tracks that aren't on this RARITIES EDITION release - "Comin' Home", "Teasin'" (with the great King Curtis on sax), and "Groupie (Superstar)". One of the best things about the above music is that it was mixed by the (late) great Delaney Bramlett, of Delaney and Bonnie fame. His mixing job is earthy, gritty and intense, more so than the original mix.
