I FEEL FREE: Ultimate Cream was released in the UK as a single, double and a limited edition triple disc sets. This career-spanning collection spotlights both sides of the Cream catalogue, the wildly experimental studio outfit and the stripped down live trio, combining remastered 23 studio classics along with 8 historic live performances. Cream [Eric Clapton (guitar, vocals), Jack Bruce (bass, vocals) and Ginger Baker (drums)] formed in 1966 and dispanded in 1968. In a little over two years, they released four groundbreaking albums and secured worldwide acclaim and success with their unique take on electrified blues. Cream sold 35 million albums and last played together in 1993 when they were inaugurated into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in Los Angeles. They produced some of the most enduring rock anthems including Sunshine Of Your Love, I Feel Free, Strange Brew and Crossroads.

Beginning as imaginative blues revivalists, Cream quickly evolved into a riskier unit, mining an audacious assortment of jazz, folk, pop, blues and psychedelic elements. Cream were a prolific and thrilling live act and toured incessantly in their short but remarkable history and will be reunited at The Royal Albert Hall on May 2nd,3rd, 5th and 6th. The gig is fast becoming the hottest of the year. The album will be available on two formats: UK 2CD and UK 1CD. A limited boxset will also be available which will include this definitive compilation and the BBC Sessions CD.
