What a time for rock music '67 was!.. DISRAELI GEARS is the second studio album by the British rock band Cream. It was released in November 1967. The album features the singles "Strange Brew" and "Sunshine Of Your Love", as well as their respective B-sides "Tales Of Brave Ulysses" and "SWLABR". The original 11-track album was remastered in 1998, and then subsequently released as a two-disc Deluxe Edition in 2004. The original 11-track album was remastered by Joseph M. Palmaccio at PolyGram Studios for a 1998 release, including bonus photographs accompanying the original album artwork. The DISRAELI GEARS Deluxe Edition includes the complete album in both mono and stereo, demos, alternative takes and tracks taken from the band's live sessions on BBC radio. Included is an outtake of "Blue Condition" with Eric Clapton on lead vocals, and demos of the songs "Weird of Hermiston" and "The Clearout" which were not released until Jack Bruce's first solo album Songs For A Tailor.

Along with both mixes of DISRAELI GEARS, newly remastered from the original master tapes, this Deluxe Edition presents five DISRAELI GEARS demo recordings in stereo for the first time, two studio out-takes of "Lawdy Mama," as well as issuing for the first time ever, the alternate versions of "Blue Condition" with Eric Clapton on lead vocal. Also featured are nine DISRAELI GEARS-era recordings made for the BBC that were first issued on last years critically acclaimed BBC SESSIONS. Gathered together in one package, this DISRAELI GEARS Deluxe Edition ably demonstrates how Cream was bursting with creativity & imagination during the period that produced the album. DISRAELI GEARS Deluxe Edition is packaged in a deluxe 2CD digipak housed within a plastic slipcase. The deluxe package also features a full colour book containing complete credits, essay & rare photos. Cream’s breakthrough sophomore LP is where blues rock, psychedelia, and pop all came crashing together. The result was one of the commercial touchstones of late 60s rock. And, while it hasn’t aged as well as many other benchmarks of the era (owing arguably to the strong and competing wills of the band’s trio of virtuosos: Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce) this double-disc deluxe reissue captures one of rock’s trailblazing supergroups in all its excessive glory. On the first disc, the 11 tracks that made up the original record (highlighted by the hits "Sunshine of Your Love," "Strange Brew," "SWLABR," and "Tales of Brave Ulysses") are fleshed out with two outtakes and five demos. Disc Two repeats the entire album and the two demos in mono, and tacks on nine-track performances culled from three 1967 and ’68 BBC sessions.
