Walter Trout literally battled back from the brink of death after laying in a hospital bed in critical condition for months with liver failure. Thanks to the fierce efforts of his devoted wife Marie and a liver transplant, the guitar legend has bounced back stronger than ever, carrying forward a career, in addition to dozen releases under his own name and countless guest appearances with other performers. WE’RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER provides another cause for celebration. Walter’s recorded it with forteen top names in the industry after previously composing tunes to do with all but one of them. In the case of guest musician Warren Haynes, Trout arranged for the two of them to record “The Sky Is Crying”, which they had first performed while sharing the stage at the New Orleans Jazz Festival years ago. For each of his other thirteen guests, Trout wrote original material. However, the songs are pieced together so seamlessly, most listeners won’t be able to detect the difference. But each track on this album has its moments. The only thing that concerns us is the fact that it ends after forteen tracks. This could easily become a series, with forteen new artists featured for the next album, and forteen more for the album after that. What do you say, Walter?
