This is a great performance of the late Gary Moore. It stands in sharp contrast to his playing the last couple of years before his death. By that time, he had gained a lot of weight, looking kind of puffy/sickly, and didn't have the energy he once had, though his chops were still solid. In the concert below, he looks and sounds terrific. It looks like a dinner party consisting of a middle-aged (and upper class?) audience. Gary is the consumate entertainer . . . by the end of the show, he has them in his hand, and on their feet. He plays passionately, with authority and conviction. It is infectious. This was 13 years ago, and we are all wondering, is there even an audience today for great blues/rock guitar. But Gary may have been one of the last of the Mohicans, and what a huge, terrible loss that he is gone.
