Led Zeppelin- EARLY 1969 & MORE- DVD- 2006- ООО «Мега Видео»- No UPC- 100 grn
Clocking in at more then one and a half hours, EARLY 1969 & MORE has been culled from just a handful of performances which were ever filmed during the band's extraordinary lifetime. Led Zeppelin were never really part of the pop scene. It was never what Led Zeppelin was supposed to be about. Led Zeppelin thing was playing live. In that sense, Zeppelin was very much an underground band. Featured are performances from: Live Gig Copenhagen 1969, Madison Square Garden 1988, Promotion Clips, Zenith Theatre In Paris 1969, TV Footage… Highlights of the DVD include: extremely rare television appearances, among them a performance for Danish television in March 1969; promotional clips; TV interviews; behind-the scenes material; and even a bit of fan-shot 'bootleg' footage. The DVD also includes further rare, never before seen footage. Visually and sonically stunning, EARLY 1969 & MORE has been painstakingly restored, remixed, and remastered in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround and PCM Two-Channel Stereo. The band start their day at a Swedish Television studio to film a promo for ''Communication Breakdown''. This lip-synced performance was first released on the "Early Days" best-of cd compilation (Originally broadcast on 31st March 1969). The band ethic during the promo for the first album was to play live on TV and mime on radio. At this Swedish TV show, they wouldn't let Led Zeppelin play: them had to mime. The level of sarcasm shows through. Robert Plant was brilliant on this one. While the first part of the show allows you to familiarize yourself with the already known repertoire, the remaining several minutes are a real feast. The first known live performance of ''Babe I'm Gonna Leave You'', a song known from the repertoire of Joan Baez, is here still very close to the album version and impresses with its expressiveness. A must-listen! A live version of "Communication Breakdown," recorded at Paris' Zenith Theatre in October of 1969, and included as a previously unreleased track inside set. It is a selection of work in progress with rough mixes, backing tracks, alternate versions, and new material recorded at the time.
