Live World Tour 1992 (international title: LIVE IN BARCELONA) is a live video release of Elton John performing some of his hits live in Barcelona, Catalonia (Spain). The concert was recorded on July 21, 1992. Gianni Versace served as the show's production designer, designing the costumes and lighting. This concert was a part of The One Tour. The tour that John started to visit some countries that he never visited before like Mexico, Argentina, and Singapore. Recorded in Barcelona on July 21st, 1992, this was Elton's first live concert in six years. Songs performed include: "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me," "I'm Still Stading," "I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues," "Tiny Dancer," "Philadelphia Freedom" "The One," "Daniel," "Sad Songs Say So Much," and much more. Live in Barcelona captures the hectic energy of Elton John's 1992 world tour but drops several of the highlights, including a rare live performance of his classic album cut "All the Girls Love Alice." Still, at two hours, there's enough to sate both hard-core and casual fans, especially since much of the best material remains: the emotional opening, "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me"; poignant versions of "The One" and "The Last Song"; and the showstopping cover of Queen's final anthem, "The Show Must Go On" (Queen's vocalist Freddie Mercury had died only a few months before the tour began). Visually, this was also an historic show: Gianni Versace designed the stage set and Elton's costumes. While not obvious to the viewer, Versace's contribution gets some play in the accompanying 50-minute documentary about John's THE ONE album, videos, and subsequent tour; it includes interviews with Elton, lyricist Bernie Taupin, guitarist Davey Johnstone, and Versace himself, along with rare rehearsal footage.
