The final show of Gilmour's On An Island Tour took place at the Gdańsk Shipyard on 26 August 2006.
The concert was held before a crowd of 100,000, and marked the Twenty-Sixth Anniversary of the founding of the Solidarity Trade Union. The show was recorded, resulting in a live album and DVD release: LIVE IN GDANSK. For the occasion Gilmour performed with an orchestra, using the 38-piece string section of the Polish Baltic Philharmonic orchestra, conducted by Zbigniew Preisner. Playing at this historic concert is Richard Wright - Pink Floyd's keyboard player, Phil Manzanera - Roxy Music guitarist & coproducer of 'On An Island', Guy Pratt - bass player with Pink Floyd & Roxy Music, Jon Carin - keyboards & longtime player with Pink Floyd, Steve Di Stanislao - drums, recently with Crosby and Nash, Dick Parry - saxophone and longtime Pink Floyd collaborator.
Filmed And Recorded Live In The Gdansk Shipyard With The Baltic Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra In Gdansk On 26th August 2006.
Housed In A Double Foldout Wallet Style Cardboard Sleeve With Two Hype Stickers On Front Includes 12-Page Booklet.
