Edsel Records has continued its ongoing Bill Wyman's Recording Archive series with former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman has released chronicling the live performances of his band The Rhythm Kings. THE KINGS OF RHYTHM VOLUME 4: RACE WITH THE DEVIL is a fourth and final volume contains three DVDs and a CD of the 10-piece blues and soul band with Bill Wyman at the helm. These DVDs and CD feature the talents of Georgie Fame, Albert Lee, Mike Sanchez, Gary Brooker, Beverley Skeete, Terry Taylor and Peter Frampton. The DVDs include a 1999 performance at the Embassy Rooms in London, a 2001 performance from Montreux, and a pair of concerts from 2004 accompanied by a tour documentary. Bonus features include the Groovin' album promo film plus interviews and performance captured on the bassist’s personal camcorder from his 1999 UK tour. 11-track CD album, entitled Rockin’ The Roots, is the audio from one of the 2004 performances. Two of these concerts are previously unreleased. With The Rhythm Kings, Bill Wyman tapped into his own blues and rock-and-roll roots and proved the endurance of these classic songs. The CD component of this set, Rocking The Roots, draws on a performance from January 25, 2004 at The Lowry, Salford Quays, in Salford, Greater Manchester. This gig is also presented on DVD.

This fourth and final box in Edsel's series contains a CD and three DVDs chronicling the live performances of Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings, the ten-piece band that Bill put together after leaving the Rolling Stones in 1992. These DVDs and CD feature the talents of Georgie Fame, Albert Lee, Mike Sanchez, Gary Brooker, Beverley Skeete, Terry Taylor and Peter Frampton. First DVD was filmed at the Embassy Rooms in London in June 1999, but this is the first commercial release of the footage of the two hour concert. Bonus features include the Groovin' album promo film with interviews and performances, and Bill's own previously unreleased camcorder footage from the 1999 UK tour. Second DVD is the band's previously unreleased performance in Montreux in 2001, while third DVD features two concerts from 2004, along with a tour documentary. The book contains all the credits plus new liner notes from Tony Rounce.
