MADE IN JAPAN is a live album by English hard rock band Whitesnake. It was recorded at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Saitama during the Loud Park Festival on 15th October 2011. It was released on 3rd April 2013 in Japan, 19th April 2013 in Europe, 22nd April 2013 in UK and 23rd April 2013 in the US. Whitesnake co-headlined the Loud Park Festival during their Forevermore World Tour. The performance was initially only recorded for Japanese TV and future Loud Park promotions, but after 3 songs were broadcasted on a Loud Park highlights program in Japan, Whitesnake received unprecedented requests for this performance to be made available for a general release. Having spent most of 2012 editing and mixing this show in stunning HD (High Definition) as a multi-format DVD & CD in 5.1 and Stereo release, just prior to commencing the Year Of The Snake 2013’ World Tour, was created a brand new exceptional show-performance. Now all fans can relive the irresistible magic of Whitesnake in concert any time their heart & loins may desire... Whitesnake’s best known classics and quite a few recent musical surprises. The mighty Snake takes you places you have never been before & brings you back safe amd alive.
PERSONNEL: David Coverdale - lead vocals; Doug Aldrich - guitar, backing vocals; Reb Beach - guitar, backing vocals; Michael Devin - bass, backing vocals; Briian Tichy - drums, backing vocals; Brian Ruedy - keyboards, backing vocals.
While Coverdale jokes, sings, sneers and screams throughout, his backing band pound away taking the show into the stratosphere. The energy of drummer Brian Tichy is amazing while the second half of the rhythm section, bassist Michael Devin, beats down the low end allowing guitarists Reb Beach and Doug Aldrich to show off. These two axe slingers are true rock stars, each capable of being the lead guitar player of any hard rock band, past, present or future. These two are beyond good. When Beach and Aldrich battle it out on “Six String Showdown” they display guitar god qualities, pushing the energy of the concert over the edge. Coverdale sounds good throughout the show. He is into his 60’s, so not every high note is replicated and his voice has gruffness to it now. He still pulls it off, though, and the rougher edge fits in great on Snake classics. After hearing the soundcheck recordings from the different Japanese venues, the band decided to include them in the package as special bonus content. The Forevermore songs alone are worth the price of admission, not forgetting the classic “Is This Love”, ”Still Of The Night’' and “Here I Go Again” all preformed at the height of their musical powers. The set list also includes four completely acoustic numbers. This is another amazing night to remember and to share with all the fans. Don’t Be Shy... C’mon... Make Some Fucking Noise !!!
