In 2007, Plant and Alison Krauss released Raising Sand, one of the most acclaimed albums of the 21st Century. It was an unlikely, mesmerizing pairing of one of rock’s greatest frontmen with one of Country music’s finest and most honored artists, produced by the legendary T Bone Burnett. It was certified Platinum, and it won six Grammy Awards, including both Album and Record Of The Year. Rocker Robert Plant and Bluegrass artist Alison Krauss perform together. They first filmed an episode of CMT CROSSROADS in 2007 under releasing their six-time Grammy Award-Winning album Raising Sand. Krauss and Plant recorded a CROSSROADS special in October 2007 for the Country Music Television (CMT) network, which first aired on February 12, 2008. DVD includes Robert Plant and Alison Krauss' performance on CMT's CROSSROADS. The duo performed songs from their Raising Sand album. The DVD was sent to media outlets for pre-broadcast previews. It includes the entire program. It comes in a thin DVD case with a color insert. In addition to songs from their new album, Raising Sand, Alison Krauss and Robert Plant performed Led Zeppelin’s “Black Dog” during a Thursday night on 18th October taping of CMT CROSSROADS at a venue The Mill at Lebanon in Tennessee. Robert Plant was a founding member and lead vocalist of the legendary British rock band Led Zeppelin. Raising Sand was released by Rounder Records, was produced in Nashville and Los Angeles by T. Bone Burnett.
