Bad Company- LIVE IN THE UK: MANCHESTER- 3CDr- 2010- Concert Live- 5060158732661- 600 grn
STRICTLY LIMITED EDITION.
Bad Company was return to the UK for their LIVE IN THE UK Tour. April 2010 saw the original line up reforming, sadly without Boz Burrell who passed away in 2006. This is exclusive limited edition live recording taken from Bad Companys astounding show at Manchesters indoor arena, the Manchester Evening News (M.E.N.). British, '70s supergroup, Bad Company, fronted by lead singer Paul Rodgers, along with band members Mick Ralphs and Simon Kirke, performed a spectacular live show at the seventh-largest National Exhibition Centre in Europe, The NEC. This show was recorded live and CDs were produced instantly on the night by live music specialists Concert Live and were available to the audience within minutes of the last note being played! Despite their reputation as one of the most exciting live bands to ever rock an arena, Bad Company never released a live album during its meteoric rise to the top of the charts. If you listen to this live album (as well as their "Live At Wembley" and "Live At Birmingham") you hear one of the great hard rock bands of all time. On this album, as well as the others mentioned, they are on top of their game with Howard Leese's guitar work, and Lynn Sorensen's solid bass playing in place of the late great Boz Burrell added to the solid foundation put down by Rodgers, Ralphs and Kirke. Bad Company knows what they are as a band, know what they do well, they don't need a horn section, or extra back-up singers, they just give you stellar no frills rock & roll and any fan should add this album to their collection.

Bad Company made triumphant comeback tours in 2010. Some UK concerts were recorded and the band made ''official bootlegs'' available for purchase after the shows. For the recording and distribution of the CDs, Bad Company partnered with Concert Live (UK). Not to be confused with a "soundboard" recording, these recordings were fully mixed and mastered on the fly and fans were able to buy CDs from the concert within minutes after show. The CDs were also available by mail order. The mail order ones had set lists printed on the cover - the ones picked up at the show didn't. It's nice, let's say it's fantastic that several live Bad Company shows were finally recorded for the public. This show features 59 year old Paul Rodgers on vocals, 70 year old Mick Ralphs on guitar and 61 year old Simon Kirke on drums and whoever else the band brought in to help them seem to be a bit more "credible". This is the second set from this tour. You won't be dissapointed. Not really Bad Company, in the classic sense, but these songs are so good, and Paul Rodgers still the best, that it doesn't matter. Rodgers and Kirke, surrounded by great musicians, performing timeless songs equals a great listen! Great sound, great CDs, what more could you want. Life is good again.
P.S. UK-based Concert Live was founded in 2005 by Adam Goodyer and James Perkins with a mission to give live music fans the opportunity to take home high quality recordings of concerts they’ve been to minutes after the gig has finished. The Concert Live recordings were presented in a cardboard digipak holding three CDs. CD sets picked up after the show had the main concert on two discs, plus a third blank disc that came with instructions of how to download and burn the missing encore tracks. CDs ordered by mailorder contained the full show on 3 discs.
