An excellent CD of mostly live material. Great electric blues in a 3 piece G,B,D format. The guitar is very strong. This is very similar to several of his other discs which are live and have many of the same songs. If you have no Eric Bell and like electric blues guitar, this would be a fine place to start. There are 4 studio tracks on the end which are all excellent as well with very raw guitar. Reminds a bit of Rory Gallagher. Hope that Eric continues recording and provides some new music or at least covers some different songs next time around as he is a very talented guitar player. Recommended.

Eric Bell (b.1947, Belfast, Northern Ireland), was the lead guitarist on the first three albums by Thin Lizzy, the band led by the legendary Phil Lynott. Eric is co-author of the classic ''Whiskey In The Jar'', which would later be covered by Metallica, among many other bands. Eric Bell was already back when others arrived, too many years on the road, excessive hectic life. For that reason, he felt exhausted, fed up with almost everything, and decided to leave concerts and incessant travel, and rest. It was time to isolate himself from the madding crowd for a while. After a while, he calmly reviewed his musical and personal memories: his first concerts with Them, together with Van Morrison, his admired friend and colleague Rory (Gallagher) and longed for the applause of the public, he looked at his guitar, he reflected... He wanted to go back. He had to go back. Because in everyone's memory was the magnificent Eric Bell. And then he returned with renewed desire, with new songs, with his own band, a good band: Eric Bell Blues Band. New recordings, electric blues concerts, stimulating blues performed with the mastery and humility that characterizes him. It was all that Eric needed to be happy again. And he is very happy. You can tell how much he loves us because he never left completely, our friend Eric is here to give us this brilliant blues concert, so warm, and of exquisite and unquestionable professionalism.
