In 2002, Queen began releasing DVDs, the first of the installment being Greatest Video Hits 1, which was phenomenal. Live At Wembley Stadium, a DVD of the classic live show in its entirety, followed, continuing the high standard set for Queen DVD releases. Shortly after, we got what we knew we were going to get, GREATEST VIDEO HITS 2. GREATEST VIDEO HITS 2 is the second DVD of music videos from the English band, Queen. It was released in November 2003, and included video hits of the band from 1981 to 1989. It was at number one in UK, in its first week. It also peaked at Number One in Ireland. In that same year the DVD was Number Two in Spain, and Number Four in Italy. It was certified two Platinum awards in United Kingdom, Platinum in France and Australia, Gold in Germany, Spain, Poland and other countries. It features an option for audio commentary from both Brian May and Roger Taylor on each music video, reflecting on their memories and opinions of each video. Music videos from Innuendo were not included on the DVD. The DVD comes in a standard plastic case with the head design from ''The Miracle''. In the UK only, for the first three months of release, it was available in an outer cardboard slipcase, with the ''I Want To Break Free'' group photo. Whilst this is essentially a DVD reissue of Greatest Flix 2, it loses the four tracks from 'Innuendo', but adds a number of bonus videos and additional material. Both discs also feature a single hidden track which is not mentioned anywhere on the menus or packaging. All videos feature an introductory screen, which shows the single sleeve against a black background. Both discs feature an edit of ''God Save The Queen'' as the menu loads, whilst the menus themselves use 'magic noises' from ''A Kind Of Magic''.

All of the videos on the first DVD are available in stereo, surround sound, or with audio commentary by Brian May and Roger Taylor. The menus feature animations based on ''The Miracle'' heads, and allows you to play all titles, jump to a specific song, or change the audio setup or subtitles. The song selection is arranged over two screens, which play 'magic noises' from ''A Kind Of Magic'', with short excerpts and sound effects from each song over the top. The videos for ''Friends Will Be Friends'' and ''A Kind Of Magic'' are slightly different to the originally released videos, whilst ''Las Palabras De Amor'' is the full length version. Title six on disc one is a hidden video of ''Who Wants To Live Forever'', which features clips from Highlander. Disc Two includes over three hours of bonus material. The second volume of Queen’s Greatest Hits appeared a decade after the group started its slow shift from international superstars toward ruling the world that existed outside of the United States. Apart from “Under Pressure” and “Radio Ga Ga,” all of the seventeen singles here did not crack the American Top 40, but they’re well-known throughout the world, particularly the operatic anthems “A Kind Of Magic”, “I Want It All”, “I Want To Break Free” and “Who Wants To Live Forever”. Generally, the songs here favor melodrama to untrammeled rock & roll, which means while there’s nothing here that hits as hard as “Tie Your Mother Down”, there’s also nothing as light on its feet as “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”, either. This is not necessarily a bad thing: nobody scaled the dramatic heights like Queen, and this captures their pomp and circumstance at its most polished.
