GRRR! is a greatest hits album by The Rolling Stones. Released on 12 November 2012, it commemorates the band's 50th anniversary. The album features two new songs titled "Doom And Gloom" and "One More Shot", which were recorded in Paris in August 2012. Rolling Stone magazine named "Doom And Gloom" the 18th best song of 2012. This is the Super Deluxe Edition, containing 80 tracks across 4 CDs. It also includes a bonus CD, 7″ vinyl, hardback book, poster, 5 postcards - all contained in a presentation box. Against all odds, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ron Wood are still together and rocking more convincingly than bands 1/3 their age! Highlights include the band's first single - a version of Chuck Berry’s “Come On”, “The Last Time”, “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction”, “Get Off Of My Cloud”, “Jumping Jack Flash”, “Honky Tonk Women” and the juke-box and concert favourites “Brown Sugar”, “Tumbling Dice”, “Miss You” and “Start Me Up”.
THE SUPER DELUXE EDITION BOX SET INCLUDES:
- 80 tracks on 4 CDs, including 2 brand-new tracks;
- Bonus CD containing previously unreleased first-ever studio recordings;
- Previously unreleased 7" vinyl BBC Radio Session EP;
- Set of 5 Tour Poster Postcards;
- Replica of The Rolling Stones' first-ever gig poster;
- 96 Page Hardcover A3 Book;
- Presentation Box (440 mm x 310 mm x 40 mm).

It comes as a surprise to absolutely no one that The Rolling Stones would celebrate their 50th anniversary with yet another compilation. Graced with cover art of a grotesque gorilla sporting The Stones' trademark leering lips, GRRR! doesn't quite have the classy veneer usually associated with a 50th anniversary collection. There’s no denying the bounty of great music found on GRRR! Frankly, that's a good sign for The Rolling Stones: they're celebrating their half-century together but refusing to take themselves too seriously, even when they're assembling a mammoth retrospective that's available in three different incarnations. Each chronicles The Stones' story beginning with their first single, a cover of Chuck Berry's "Come On," to a pair of good new recordings. Neither the standard triple-disc version, a budget two-disc version, or the Super Deluxe four-disc set, which has the added bonus of a disc of the band's Chess Records-heavy demos for IBC in 1963, a significant enticement to make the investment (there's also a bonus 7" vinyl EP of a 1964 BBC session), has all of the singles or significant songs the Stones have released over the course of five decades, but all do an excellent job of providing a thorough overview of a monumental career. The four-disc Super Deluxe is quirkier and offers a better illustration of the band's range, digging deeper into the band's late-'60s psychedelia, emphasizing country-rock, disco, and does a tremendous job in editing so their enduring craftsmanship shines through. Again, it's easy to name great songs that are missing, but what's here is sublime, some of the best Rock & Roll ever made, and the best overall Stones compilation to date.
